Write to Your Political Representatives
These people are your representatives. Their salaries and expenses are paid from your taxes. They are there because of your votes. They have a duty to listen to what you say. A list of Belfast concillors is available from the Belfast City Council website, the committee with responsibility for "Arts, Economic Development and Tourism and Promotion of Belfast" is the Development Committee, chaired by one Cllr Ian Crozier.
You can find out who your local Belfast councillors are by selecting your area from this list.
If you are one of our many supporters from outside Belfast, we suggest contacting your local MLAs. You should be able to find their contact information on their party's website (or google!)
We have made this template letter (MS Word) available on the site, which you are free to alter as you see fit.
Collect Signatures
Not everyone can easily access the internet. While signing online is preferable, you can download a blank petition sheet for up to 30 signatures as a PDF if you want to collect signatures yourself. When you have it filled in you can send it to StadiumForBelfast and the signatures can hopefully be added to our online total.
